SPIE establishes 300 fast-charging points for EWE Go in the Germany network
The technical service provider for energy and communication, SPIE, has announced that, on behalf of the “EWE Go HOCHTIEF Ladepartner Errichtungs-ARGE,” it will install over 300 fast charging points for electric cars at 30 locations in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Hamburg, and North Rhine-Westphalia. They are part of the so-called Germany Network, with which the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport aims to provide a comprehensive and demand-oriented charging infrastructure with around 9,000 fast charging points by 2026. The service provider is implementing the fast charging stations in both urban and rural areas and is making a crucial contribution to the Germany Network. The contract includes precise planning and coordination of the electrical installation and civil engineering work as well as the safe commissioning of the over 300 charging points.
“This project is more than just a contract for us – it’s a significant step towards a sustainable future. We contribute with the highest precision to make electromobility accessible to everyone,” promotes Pascal Vermaten, Head of Key Account Management at the Energy and Mobility Solutions business unit in the City Networks & Grids division of SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria.
